Fire Fighter & Operations Operative

We are currently seeking enthusiastic qualified Fire fighters, to carry out Aviation Fire and Rescue Service duties along with operational duties as directed by senior officers at Blackpool Airport.

The ideal applicant will have Fire fighting experience included the wearing of Breathing Apparatus. Hold current and relevant CAA or equivalent Fire and Rescue Service qualifications. A LGV license would be an adventitious, you must be able to work well in a team environment and on your own initiative.

As an Aviation Fire fighter you will be expected to respond to all emergency incidents at Blackpool Airport. You will also undertake a continuous training programme by attending external courses, internal lectures, practical training sessions including exercises and other forms of training to maintain competence levels.

Current Medical fitness to CAA standards (FireFit UK) will apply. You will be expected to take responsibility for developing and ensuring that your fitness levels are maintained as the work can be demanding, both physically and mentally.

This role is based on 40 hours per week and is an exciting opportunity for highly self-motivated person to develop existing and learn new skills. You will be working within a highly skilled and efficient team within Blackpool Airport’s Fire and Rescue Service.

Blackpool Airport – Air Traffic Control Officer

Blackpool Airport is entering an exciting new chapter in its history and we want another ATCO to be part of it. We seek a suitably qualified and experienced ADI/APP rated Air Traffic Control Officer to join our team!

You can expect to handle an often complex mix of various types of air traffic. You must have the ability to work under pressure, on your own initiative within a small busy team.
